Enchanted Rock State Natural Area
Enchanted Rock is a massive pink granite dome located about 18 miles north of Fredericksburg. The dome is over 400 feet tall and is a popular spot for hiking and rock climbing. Visitors can hike to the top of the dome for stunning views of the surrounding Hill Country. The park also features camping areas, picnic spots, and over 11 miles of hiking trails.
National Museum of the Pacific War
Located in downtown Fredericksburg, the National Museum of the Pacific War is dedicated to the history of World War II in the Pacific. The museum features a variety of exhibits, artifacts, and interactive displays, including a recreation of a World War II-era submarine and a Japanese garden. Visitors can also take guided tours of nearby Pacific combat zones, including Guadalcanal and Iwo Jima.
